Congratulations to Sheriff YC on retaining the Tom Hand Cup. They beat Liffey Wanderers 2-1 in Home Farm on Sunday afternoon. After dominating the first half in which Phil Lynch and Wayne Waldron sent the holders in 2-0 at half time the Intermediate Cup winners came out the second half with all guns blazing and were given a lifeline when Nika Kalandarishvili scored from close range with twenty five minutes left but Sheriff comfortably played out the remainder of time and could in fact have stretched their lead on a number of occasions. A fantastic day for all involved and a huge thank you to the FAI Domestic department for hosting the final and to Home Farm for giving the clubs a perfect playing surface.

The Tommy Clements Cup quarter finals are on this Tuesday and there are some juicy looking ties. Hardwicke FC v Crumlin Utd, Home Farm v Ratoath Harps, Sheriff YC v PSC and Usher Celtic v St. Pauls Artane. Get up to the Complex early and see some of the top junior and intermediate teams mix it. Be there. The Semi Finals are on Thur with the final on Sunday Morning at 11am.
