Noticeboard for 21st March

With it being Paddy’s weekend there was little or no football played in the League so the spotlight was on the FAI Futsal Cup. AUL side Puskas Hagi will play another AUL side Transylvania FC in the final of the FAI Futsal Cup. Hagi beat IT Blanchardstown 14-6 with ex Republic of Ireland and Tottenham Hotspur player Neil Fenn scoring seven of their goals in a pulsating game and

Transylvania FC overcame Waterford IT 8-2 to set up a very interesting final.

In the O’Neill’s sponsored LFA Junior Cup Sheriff YC travelled to Duleek and came away 3-0 winners. A penalty by John Lester and a brace from John Rock ensured that YS will be in the hat for the semi final draw.

Sheriff YC played last Tuesday and Thursday and won both games. On Tuesday they beat Baldoyle Grange 4-0 in the League and on Thursday they disposed of Usher Celtic in the Nivea Cup beating them 3-0.

Castleknock Celtic had a fine 3-0 win away to Romstar in Premier B.

Kilmore Celtic travelled to Inchicore and came away with all three points, beating St.Michaels 3-0.

In the Liddy Cup Donnycarney United beat St.Pauls 2-1.

The AUL have a few tickets left for the Iceland game next week. They are Premium and cost €80 each. Contact Dick 087 2076518. There are also 2 sets of Wales/Iceland Premium Tickets. €200 covers a premium ticket for both games.

Make sure as Secretary your player registration forms are filled in correctly, Date of Birth, Club last played for, Player actually signs the form, Secretary signs the form all these thing should be checked before you leave them in to the office and if not filled in correctly they will be returned to you. It is your responsibility to correctly register your players the AUL will only try and make sure you do but it is not up to the AUL to Register the player correctly. If you sign a player from another club ask the question, have you an outstanding fine, have you been sent off this season or last season if the answer is yes to these questions contact the treasurer and see if there is a fine outstanding or a

suspension outstanding against that player. Remember the fine stays with the Club now until it is paid.

Be aware of the ITC. If you are signing a player who has come back to live in Ireland or has arrived to live here ask the question “did you play in an organised League where you have come from” and if the answer is yes that player may require an International Transfer Certificate. All applications for an

ITC must come from the Secretary of the Club the player is registered for. The player must register first for his club and then the club applies for the ITC. All ITC applications must be sent to

Dick Redmond Secretary.
